Calls continued over the weekend for Congress and the incoming Trump administration to roll back the Obama Administration’s latest salvo against pro-growth energy strategies. Patrick Sullivan, President of the Mississippi Energy Institute, weighed in with this opinion column in the Sun Herald (Biloxi).
Patrick described the new Obama rules for offshore operators in the Gulf as “industry-crippling” and “just another last-minute attack on the energy sector before today’s administration leaves office.”
The Gulf Energy Alliance has continued to call on Congress for these needed changes, and is working with leaders across both the House and the Senate to roll back these new financial assurance regulations. We are glad leaders throughout the Gulf region, such as the Mississippi Energy Institute, are lending their voice to this critical matter.
Thank you Patrick!
